Application instructions

  1. Once you begin your application, you must complete all required fields and questions and click "submit" for your information to be saved. If you exit the browser before submitting, you will have to start over when you return.
  2. Complete all required fields and short essay questions. Your application must be complete in order to be considered for the program.
  3. Short essay responses are limited to no more than 2,250 characters each.
  4. Please upload your current CV/resume in PDF format.
  5. Carefully read and agree to all terms and conditions.
  6. Once you submit your application, you will receive an email with your submitted answers for your records.

Why are you interested in professional leadership coaching? Why Rice? Why now? Please respond to each of these questions from a personal point of view.*

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

Payment terms: A 50 percent payment is due by the first payment deadline. Payment in full must be received by the second payment deadline. If your invoice will be paid by your company and they require additional time to process, you are required to make a $1500 good faith deposit by the first payment deadline. It will be refunded in full when your tuition is received. All tuition fees must be paid in full by the second payment deadline. No exceptions will be made.*

Refund policy: Attendance in the CoachRICE program requires significant advance preparation. As such, you must provide written notice of cancellation for any reason at least 30 days prior to the program start date to be eligible for a 75% refund. Participants who provide no notice OR submit a written notice of cancellation fewer than 30 days prior to the program start date for any reason are not eligible for a refund. No exceptions.*

Module reschedule terms: I understand that if I miss any portion of a learning module, I am required to attend a future module that corresponds to the missed content. I will be charged $50/Day for make-up learning. Payment must be received in full prior to attendance of any make-up sessions.*

Observation coaching reschedule terms: I understand that if I miss any portion of an observation coaching session, I am required to make up that session. I will be charged $50/session for observation coaching session make-ups. Payment must be received in full prior to attendance of any the make-up sessions.*

Mentor coaching reschedule terms: I understand that if I miss any portion of a scheduled mentor coaching session (group or individual), I am required to make up that session with my Mentor Coach. I will be charged $50/session for mentor coaching session make-ups. understand that if I cancel a mentor coaching individual session less than 48 hours in advance of the scheduled session, I must pay also pay a late cancellation fee of $50 in addition to the make-up fee. Payment must be received in full prior to attendance of any make-up sessions.*

Participation terms: In order to maintain a focused learning environment, participants should work to minimize distractions during class and mentor coaching sessions. Modules and sessions begin on time, so participants should be in the assigned place and ready to learn when the modules/sessions begin. Participants must join live virtual module sessions, mentor coaching sessions, and any other live virtual activities from a location with stable internet. Participants may not join live virtual sessions if they are in transit (driving, riding in a vehicle, walking, public areas or airport lounges, etc.) Participants must join in a private space with no background noise or distractions. Cameras should be on for the duration of live virtual sessions. Participants should be polite and respectful to everyone, including participants, instructors, administrators, support staff, and visitors. We reserve the right to ask participants who behave in a disrespectful way to leave the program.*

Consent to Release Student Information (FERPA Consent): Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business Executive Education department uses third-party vendors that receive and store student data to process course registrations, procure course materials, administer assessments and activities, and update students on course offerings. I authorize Rice University to disclose the following information to third-party vendors: name, email address, business address, phone number, and course registration history. I understand that I can revoke this consent at any time by notifying our department (ruee@rice.edu) in writing.* (may select “yes” or “no”)
